From September 17 to September 20, the EFRJ organized a steering committee meeting and an advisory board meeting for the partners of the ALTERNATIVE project. All sixteen participants made sure the meeting was a success.
On Tuesday, September 16, Erik Claes from the HUB in Brussels invited the partners to a very interesting seminar, walk and workshop entitled “Restorative Justice and (Digital) Storytelling in Brussels”. The participants were introduced to an RJ action research project in Brussels inspired by ALTERNATIVE and the principles of digital storytelling. In the workshop, they made their own story using the tools they were given during the day.
From Wednesday to Friday, the steering committee meeting was held in Leuven, Belgium. For three days, each partner of the ALTERNATIVE project was invited to present their work, their progress and their plans for the coming months. Each subject was thouroughly discussed. With a little over a year to go before the end of the project, partners are going into the last stages of their work, getting ready for the final conference in November 2015.
In the evenings, the EFRJ had planned a lovely meal or a touristic activity, such as visiting one of Europe`s largest carillon in the tower of the Central University Library.
The advisory board held their meetings on Friday afternoon and Saturday and gave useful feedback and inspiration for the project partners.
